Frankincense slows down and deepens breathing, which is why it is so conducive to prayer. It is of benefit to those who cannot “switch off” and is an ideal oil for chronic worriers. It is also very helpful for mature or damaged skin. Pictorial evidence from the tombs of the Pharaohs shows that Frankincense has been used since 1500BC.
